STEP 4: PREPARE A LONG WISH LIST

Go into the negotiation with a rich and extensive wish list of ideal, but not essential, items that you might like to work into the deal. This will give you plenty of opportunity to trade and add value.

ACTION: Get together with a few members of your team and spend at least 30 minutes brainstorming a wish list. The best wish list items are low cost to the other side, but high value to you.
