Learning outcomes

We teach the techniques and discipline professional negotiators use to manage negotiations. Participants will learn how to:

  • prepare effectively to take advantage of opportunities,

  • discover and use negotiation power,

  • apply cooperative techniques to improve outcomes,

  • negotiate for value, not just price,

  • protect margin as well as relationships,

  • negotiate solo and as part of a team

  • control the negotiation process to advantage

  • prepare for flexibility, not resistance, and

  • how to negotiate confidently, knowing that whatever the other side will do, you will know how to respond.

Our participants will share a common negotiation language and practical skills. This will give them control over the negotiation process and the confidence to negotiate better outcomes.
